It is a collaborative effort between the State of New Jersey and local partners, managed by the Camden Community Partnership (CCP). The program focuses on evaluating and improving owner-occupied residential properties in Camden.
CHIP encompasses a range of services, including assessments of roofing, siding, masonry, electrical systems, plumbing, insulation, HVAC repairs, and general carpentry. These evaluations help determine the necessary improvements to ensure safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.
Dear Camden Residents,
We recognize how important the Camden Home Improvement Program (CHIP) is to homeowners across our city. The response from the community has been deeply meaningful, and we’re grateful for the trust you’ve placed in this program.
Due to the high volume of applications already received, the application portal is now closed. This pause will allow us to begin reviewing the current pool of applications and ensure and next phase of the process moves forward efficiently.
As a reminder, participants will be selected using a computer-based system designed to ensure fairness and equity across all Camden neighborhoods. If you’ve already submitted an application, there is no need to reapply—your information is on file and under review.
Thank you again for your interest in CHIP and for your continued engagement.
Sincerely,
Camden Community Partnership
