Danny Gonzalez didn’t hesitate when he was asked how he feels about seeing trash in his Cramer Hill neighborhood and in Von Nieda Park, where he and his brothers play soccer and walk with family.
“It makes me sad, and kind of mad,” the 6-year-old said.
“It makes me kind of sad, too,” added his 8-year-old brother, Adrian. “I mean, it’s not my trash.”
On Thursday, it wasn’t the wind picking up trash in and around Von Nieda Park; instead it was a small army of Camden Public Works employees and other city and county workers, some in bright red shirts that read “Camden Strong.”
