The Camden County Police Department (CCPD) supports the city’s LGBTQ+ community, and on Wednesday they held a parade in the blistering heat to make sure that was known.
“What we’re going to do is raise the pride flag, and then we’re going to march down to Wiggins Park,” said the department’s Captain Vivian Coley. “Inclusion and equality is very important. It’s something that we absolutely support.”
Keyandria Jenkins, a Camden resident, was there with some of her co-workers from Cooper University Healthcare. She’s a prep counselor with its Early Intervention Program, which sets out to improve life for HIV patients.
