Featuring NFL Linebacker and Camden Native Haason Reddick, This Special Event Encourages Families to Get Active and Help Build a Healthier Camden
Camden, NJ – Camden Community Partnership (CCP), the City of Camden and Camden County, with support from The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey, are set to host the 2024 Family Fun and Fitness Day on Saturday, June 8 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Camden Track and Athletic Fields (401 Jersey Joe Walcott Blvd., Camden). NOTE: In the case of rain or inclement weather, the event will be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date.
This year, Family Fun and Fitness Day will be led by NFL linebacker and Camden native Haason Reddick and feature a variety of free, family-friendly activities and challenges designed to make fitness fun and inspire families to live healthy, active lives.
“I cannot think of a better way to spend a beautiful Saturday morning than at Family Fun and Fitness Day right here in the City of Camden,” said Camden Mayor Victor Carstarphen. “Every year, this special event brings families, friends and neighbors together to enjoy our city parks and recreational areas in a new, creative way, which is paramount to building a healthy, vibrant Camden. Being able to connect with our residents at this fun, fitness-focused event recharges my body, mind and spirit, and reminds me of all the reasons why we work so hard to bring free, family-friendly opportunities like this to our city each year. In addition to our many event partners and supporters, I want to extend a special thanks to Camden’s own Haason Reddick for all that he does to give back to his hometown – you are truly an inspiration!”
“I’m looking forward to Camden’s Family Fun and Fitness Day on June 8th,” said Haason Reddick. “I hope everyone comes out and gets the summer started by being active!”
“Family Fun and Fitness Day offers Camden residents the opportunity to come together, get active and most importantly, have fun,” said Dana L. Redd, president and CEO of Camden Community Partnership. “On behalf of Camden Community Partnership, I extend our gratitude to Haason Reddick, The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey, New Jersey American Water, Connect the Lots and its partner organizations for their generous contributions that make this event possible. Thanks to their support, Camden residents can enjoy all our city has to offer, helping us build a stronger and healthier community.”
