When Ana Trotter was a preschooler in the 1970s, one of her earliest memories was being picked up by a small bus to take her to the Mi Casita Day Care Center, even though she did not live far from the Spruce Street building.
Trotter’s two adult daughters also went to Mi Casita before they were old enough to attend school.
And Trotter’s four grandsons are also alumni of the center, which over the last half-century has been woven into the fabric of Camden’s Spanish-speaking community where several generations typically attended like Trotter’s family.
